40th International Coastal Cleanup Day
I invite you to a special Pet Adoption Event in collaboration with Helen Woodward Animal Center on August 17th at 10 AM. This event is special because it coincides with International Homeless Pets Day, making it the perfect occasion for you to find a new furry friend and provide a loving home to a pet in need.
International Homeless Pets Day
Pet Adoption Event
August 17th
10 AM - 6 PM
You are invited to participate in our upcoming Food and Blood Bank Drive!
Giving back to our neighbors in need is an essential part of building a strong and supportive community. Beginning Tuesday, October 10th, we will be accepting food donations all week at our designated drop-off location. We encourage you to contribute non-perishable items that will help stock the shelves of our local food bank and assist those facing hunger. You can also donate virtually by clicking the link here. See below for exact dates.
Over the last 38 years, the Ocean Conservancy and California Coastal Commission have mobilized communities statewide (including our San Diego region) to collect trash that pollutes our waterways. More than 340 million pounds of toxic waste have been removed. The most common type of trash found in our cleanup was cigarettes with plastic foam filters.
I invite you to join us on the fourth Saturday of September for Coastal Cleanup Day. Be a part of the movement by collecting dangerous debris left behind in our beaches, shorelines, and inland waterways.
Animal shelters are filled with lovable dogs and cats that need “furever homes.” Learn more about recent legislation regarding animal protection and the importance of adoption at Assemblymember Maienschein and the San Diego Humane Society’s 9th Annual Pet Adoption.
Find your next furry family member at the San Diego Humane Society Escondido campus on Saturday, April 29.
Assemblymember Brian Maienschein and I Love A Clean San Diego invite you to celebrate Earth Day 2023 at the annual Creek to Bay Cleanup.
For the past 7 years, Assemblymember Maienschein has partnered with I Love A Clean San Diego to serve as Site Captain for one of the various cleanup locations throughout the county. This year, Assemblymember Maienschein will be leading the Los Peñasquitos Canyon East location alongside Co-Captain Park Ranger Melanie Fontana. Volunteers will be meeting at 10150 Cara Way, San Diego CA, 92131.
