KEARNY MESA – Assemblymember Brian Maienschein recognized Societe Brewing Company as the “2022 Small Business of the Year” for the 77th Assembly District. Maienschein invited Doug Constantier, CEO and founder of Societe Brewing, to a ceremony in Sacramento honoring small businesses throughout California and the remarkable individuals that lead them.
Societe Brewing has been a staple in the Kearny Mesa community since its founding in 2012. As a small independently owned business, Societe believes in the power of beer as one of the world’s greatest social uniters and crafts phenomenal beer to bring people from all walks of life together every day.
“Societe Brewing is a prime example of the outstanding food and beverage businesses that San Diego County has to offer,” said Assemblymember Maienschein. “I am pleased to honor Societe Brewing and the diligent staff that deliver exceptional service to our community every day.”
Prior to founding Societe Brewing in May of 2012, Doug Constantiner gained valuable experience working at various local businesses, including Pizza Port Carlsbad, Green Flash, Oggi’s, and The Bruery. This dedication to the community fueled Doug to lead Societe’s efforts to give back to the less fortunate in the region. Societe Brewing has collected and donated thousands of pounds of food over the years for the Jacobs & Cushman San Diego Food Bank, helping feed many local families in need.
“Doug Constantiner’s commitment to bettering the community has made Societe Brewing a notable standout in San Diego County,” said Maienschein. “I am proud to recognize such a hardworking individual and extraordinary business that puts our community first.”
