Ought to Be a Law Program – 2020
Have you ever noticed a problem in our society that you think a law might be able to fix? Now’s your chance to share your idea!
With the new legislative session just around the corner, I’m inviting everyone young and old living in the 76th District to participate in my first annual “There Ought to Be a Law” Program!
Your ideas for how to improve California may just end up becoming a new state law. Some of the best laws we’ve passed through the Legislature began as ideas from people like yourself who care about their community and want to take action to improve it.
Proposals can be big ideas like a new state agency, or small changes to the law that make a big difference in your neighborhood - it’s totally up to you. If you have an idea for a new law that you want to share, please complete the online form or download a printable version and follow the instructions on the form for how to send it back to my District Office. Submissions will be accepted until January 15th.
